The Snowdonia Mountains tower over north Wales to the west providing a stunning backdrop for a very family friendly area. It's a land of outstanding natural beauty, a glorious coast line with sandy beaches all around like Abersoch. Take a mountain railway trip to the top of Mount Snowdon, Britain's second highest peak and see the awe inspiring view. Revisit childhood memories by visiting the Alice in Wonderland Centre in Llandudno to discover the Welsh connection or visit Anglesey Sea Zoo - the largest marine aquarium and most popular attraction in North Wales. Another town providing fun and family entertainment is Rhyl, it has a funfair and a Tropical Sun Centre so it doesn't matter about the weather. Cross the Menai Suspension Bridge to Anglesey and visit the butterfly farm. If that doesn't take your fancy there are always craft and antique centres, the railway, castles and gardens to be discovered. Many attractions are also open to visitors during the colder winter months so there is always something available.
During the warmer months enjoy a relaxing time on the superb Welsh coastline and sandy beaches taking the kids on a long walk or having a romantic stroll as the sun sets. Remember also to visit during Eisteddfod when more than fifty countries compete together in music including some famous faces.
