London lays claim to four World Heritage Sites as well as hundreds of attractions that are free to enter. Choose from top attractions like the National Gallery or the London Eye, visit anyone of the hundreds of museums or relax in the fashionable Covent Garden. You are never more than walking distance from striking architecture or sites preserving London's history. Take a tour of Buckingham Palace to see where HRH the Queen resides when she is in town.
Getting around is straightforward – catch a famous red double Decker bus or black cab or use the tube to get from A to B. Maybe you prefer to spend a little time close to the water; in which case the river Thames offers a variety of activities for young and old. River cruises offer a unique way of seeing the sites while famous bridges like Tower and London have to be seen to be appreciated.
The West End is considered by many to be the best place in the world to enjoy a live performance, and with dozens of theatres offering a wide spectrum of presentations there really is something for everyone. Food lovers are also well catered for with over 5,000 restaurants to choose from - all palettes and budgets are taken care of. With over 30,000 shops, no trip to London would be complete without a little retail therapy.
