There's nothing quite like messing about in boats and the Norfolk broads has hundreds, they can be hired by the hour or for the week. Relax, unwind, get closer to nature and watch out for the spectacular swallow tail butterfly which lives only in this area.

Ramblers will enjoy the Constable walk, as it takes them past a series of locations that were the subjects of his masterpieces like the Haywain. Holkham Hall and Blickling Hall are worth a visit and so are the Cathedrals at Ely and Norwich. Sandringham House the home of the Queen is worth seeing along with the nearby Sealife Centre at Hunstanton

For traditional holiday fun Great Yarmouth has it all, including a theatre on the pier where top stars perform. It also has a pub which claims to have the longest bar in Britain. Corton Park in Suffolk, has a stunning range of rides some of which are guaranteed to get the adrenaline pumping, while Oulton Broad provides some more nerve tingling excitement with power boat racing every week.

Those who need a bit of retail therapy can try Norwich Market or the Grafton Centre in Cambridge. Others meanwhile, may like to tryout punting on the river Cam, but beware; many novices have taken a ducking.
