Recommendation: Lyme Regis, Dorset, England South WestAdded: 01/07/2006 23:03

Chris :O)
Recommendation: Pinewoods Holiday Park, Wells-Next-The-Sea, Norfolk, England East Of EnglandAdded: 01/06/2006 22:54
Comment: This sounds brilliant, I remember visiting a place in Devon which sounds very similar - this was about 5 years ago and my kids still talk about the experiece of crabbing!

Recommendation: Pinewoods, Accommodation in/near Wells-Next-The-Sea, Norfolk, England East Of EnglandAdded: 01/06/2006 22:39

Recommendation: Nandos, Food - Restaurant/Cafes in/near Edgware, Middlesex, England South EastAdded: 30/05/2006 23:58
Comment: I've not been to Nandos in years, sounds like they're much more accommodating towards kids than they used to be - prices look to have come down dramatically too!

Recommendation: Ask, Food - Restaurant/Cafes in/near Pinner, Middlesex, England South EastAdded: 30/05/2006 23:56
Comment: Oooh, I fancy pasta now.

Will have to check the Yellow Pages and see if we have an ASK in Birmingham.

Recommendation: Avondale house Hotel, Accommodation in/near York, Yorkshire, England YorkshireAdded: 30/05/2006 21:11
Comment: This sounds lovely - don't you find these little guesthouses have so much more character than ultra expensive posh hotels?

In the past couple of weeks I've stayed in both a 4 star London hotel and a Hereford guesthouse - I'd definitely stay at the guesthouse again, but could take or leave the hotel really. It's, as you mention, the service with a smile thing.
Recommendation: York, Yorkshire, England YorkshireAdded: 30/05/2006 21:01
Comment: The Shambles is definitely the place I remember from my visit to York - along with the Jorvik Centre of course.

Do they still have the market days in York?

Recommendation: London Eye, Attraction (General) in/near Central London, London, England Greater LondonAdded: 29/05/2006 19:57
Comment: Oh goodness, I had a smooth trip on the London Eye - which I'm very grateful for. I think I'd have had a heart attack if I'd been stuck swaying at the top!

Recommendation: The Natural History Museum, Cultural Attraction in/near Central London, London, England Greater LondonAdded: 29/05/2006 19:39
Comment: An amazing place, isn't it?
Recommendation: Horniman Museum, Attraction (General) in/near Forest Hill, London, England Greater LondonAdded: 29/05/2006 19:33
Comment: This sounds fantastic. When my two daughters were in buggies I remember thinking how child UNfriendly most places are - to actually find an attraction which encourages young children to explore is brilliant!
Recommendation: Central London, London, England Greater LondonAdded: 29/05/2006 19:23
Comment: I went on the Thames Cruise after going on the London Eye last week and I was astounded at how dirty the Thames is!

Worse pollution than any grotty Birmingham canal! lol
Recommendation: Madame Tussauds, Attraction (General) in/near Central London, London, England Greater LondonAdded: 29/05/2006 19:18
Comment: Ahhh... but was it the *real* Davina or her waxwork???

We went to Tussauds last week and had a brilliant time!
Recommendation: Club Quarters, Accommodation in/near Central London, London, England Greater LondonAdded: 29/05/2006 16:20
Comment: Sounds like a nice hotel, and in my experience £8.50 is a pretty good price for a full breakfast in London.

How much did your room cost per night? I'm looking to make a return visit to the capital next month and this place sounds a lovely place to stay.
Recommendation: The Crown Hotel, Wells-next-the-sea, Wells-Next-The-Sea, Norfolk, England East Of EnglandAdded: 28/05/2006 19:44

Recommendation: RAF Museum Cosford, Attraction (General) in/near Telford, Shropshire (Inc Birmingham), England Heart Of Inc BirminghamAdded: 28/05/2006 16:27
Comment: This sounds a great idea for a day out closer to Fathers Day, I know my fella would love this place - and we're in North Birmingham so I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to find.

Isn't it amazing when you find one of these free admission places, being as most attractions seem to charge the earth these days.

Chris
Recommendation: Birmingham nature centre, Attraction (General) in/near Birmingham, Shropshire (Inc Birmingham), England Heart Of Inc BirminghamAdded: 27/05/2006 21:00
Comment: We live a few minutes drive away from the nature centre and I think it's great for adults and kids. My daughters' particularly love the pets corner as they can play with the rabbits and guinea pigs, but I adore the red panda's because they're so cute!

Comment: Sounds really interesting - ideal for a relaxing day north of the border!
Recommendation: Black Country Museum, Attraction (General) in/near Dudley, Worcestershire, England Heart Of Inc BirminghamAdded: 22/05/2006 22:46
Comment: It's amazing the way they shifted those entire buildings. When we visited last summer there was an exhibition on showing how much work it really was to get these important 'of the time' examples into the museum - it was a massive task and grossely underfunded, but haven't they done a fantastic job!

And yeah, I sooooo agree with you about the beer...
Recommendation: Romford Dog Track (Greyhound Racing), Entertainment in/near Romford, Essex, England South EastAdded: 22/05/2006 19:33
Comment: I adore 'going to the dogs' - our local greyhound stadium serves the best jacket potatoes and cheapest lager in Birmingham!

The buzz of winning the huge amount of £2 is great too!
Recommendation: Central London, London, England Greater LondonAdded: 22/05/2006 19:26
Comment: Blimey, that is an absolute bargain!

We spent a weekend in London last month and I thought admission prices for most attractions were astronomical - reckon I could have saved myself a fortune in admission fees if I'd known of the London Pass before we went!
Recommendation: Black Country Museum, Attraction (General) in/near Wolverhampton, Worcestershire, England Heart Of Inc BirminghamAdded: 22/05/2006 19:16
Comment: God, aren't the chips delicious at this place - I only live a 15 minute drive away and think another visit is well overdue!

Is the fair still there?

Comment: What a fantastic recommendation - I love the sound of the Edinburgh dungeons!
Recommendation: Llechwedd Slate Mines, Cultural Attraction in/near Snowdonia, Gwynedd, Wales NorthAdded: 22/05/2006 18:45
