Local Attractions

St Milburga Chapel nestles at the bottom of Stoke Bank in Stoke St Milborough, with magnificent views.

Stoke St Milborough Village is a working Village surrounded by Arable and Stock Farms. 7 miles from the centre of Ludlow and is an ideal destination and base for touring – exploring – walking – or just plain relaxing in the peace and tranquillity of the countryside.

The views from the Brown Clee are magnificent and unspoilt.
Ludlow

Ludlow is a Medieval Market town complete with a Norman Castle, St Lawrence's church where A E houseman is buried. More than its fair share of listed buildings. One of the finest examples of Georgian architecture is Broad Street . There is boating on the river Teme, and beautiful walks over Whitcliffe. Ludlow is famous for its locally produced food, and you must pay a visit to our local Butchers.

Talking of food with the arrival of Shaun Hill over the past few years Ludlow has become recognised as a Gastronomic delight. It boasts the most Michelin starred Restaurants in England outside London.

Ludlow's Hibiscus Restaurant has won the accolade in Ego Ronay's RAC Guide to the Top 200 Restaurants in the UK 2005. The restaurant, owned by Claude and Claire Bosi was inspected anonymously. They already have two Michelin Stars. A visit to one of the oldest coaching Inns in the country is the Grade 1 Feathers Hotel and is a must to visit. (Probably the most photographed building in Shropshire) There are also many Public Houses Inns and Restaurants that do real ale and good food. Not just in Ludlow but in the surrounding areas.
