Devon - It's Heaven!
Devon is a beautiful county and there really is something for everyone to see and do. In the bustling city of Plymouth, just twenty minutes' drive away, you'll find not only one of the major shopping centres in the west but a city steeped in maritime history. It also boasts three multi-million pound entertainment centres - the National Marine Aquarium, Plymouth Pavilions and the Warner Village Entertainment Centre.
Less than half an hour's drive from Churchwood, you'll also find sports centres, Dartmoor Wildlife Park, golf clubs and several National Trust properties and about an hour's drive away in Cornwall are the unique Eden Project and other renowned houses and gardens. If fishing and sailing appeal, Wembury Bay, the rivers Tamar and Yealm and the sheltered waters of Plymouth Sound, in which you'll find the new Mountbatten Centre for Sailing and Watersports, provide plenty of choice. Situated right by the beach is the Wembury Bay Riding Stables (ABRS and RDA approved) with many woodland and coastal rides and walks.

Holiday Park Description
Peace and Tranquillity:
There are no discos, bars or cafes just rock pools, wildlife and breathtaking scenery. Secluded it may be, isolated it is not. Churchwood's licensed shop sells a wide range of food and drink, beach toys, gifts and many other items so you don't even need to leave the site for those 'essential' items. We also have a fully equipped launderette.
Seclusion and Privacy:
Each holiday cabin has its own plot on the hillside, surrounded by trees, flowering shrubs, hedges and rustic fences. All cabins have views across the valley, with some looking out over the water meadow or towards the sea. There's a car parking space near each cabin and private roads and paths give access to the beach, an unspoiled stretch of rock pools and shingle with sand at low tide. Adjoining National Trust land, the beach is no more than a ten minute stroll away from any of the cabins.
Away From It All:
If 'getting away from it all' is the most important part of your holiday, then Churchwood Valley will suit you. By moving no further than your armchair, you'll see delightful displays of bird life, and a trip to your private patio may well afford a glimpse of badgers, foxes, squirrels and other wildlife. Up to two well behaved dogs are welcome, for a small charge, and dog exercise areas are provided.
Secluded Timber Cabins:
All our cabins are built to an extremely high standard and have been carefully planned and decorated to give you the maximum space and the minimum cleaning! The wood-clad exteriors are designed to blend in with the surroundings, while the many large windows or patio doors give you great views. Each cabin has its own private patio area with garden furniture and a barbecue is available on request. We take pride in our habitat and ask all our guests to water adjacent hanging baskets and shrubs.
Inludes:
Modern kitchen with fridge/freezer/full sized cooker and microwave
Essential cutlery, crockery and glasses
Fully fitted bathroom or shower room
Two single beds in main bedroom (which can be pushed together to make a king-size double) and single beds in second bedrooms of larger cabins
Colour TV, clock radio
Central heating
Pillows, duvets, iron, ironing board and vacuum cleaner
Fully equipped with everything for your holiday - except linen and towels
FREE electricity - no extra to pay
