Follow the A77 South to Minishant
Approximately 100 yards after Minishant turn Left onto the B7045. Continue along this road to Kirkmichael, straight through Kirkmichael to Straiton
Carry on through Straiton. Approximately 1.5 miles out of the village turn right at Balbeg Holiday Lodges sign. Balbeg is approximately 0.25 miles along this road.
From South
Take the A75 bypassing Dumfries to Castle Douglas. Stay on the A75 until you see the sign for Ayr. Turn right over the carriageway joining the A713 towards Ayr
Approximately 300 yards past Dalmellington turn Left on the B741 heading to Straiton (this is a single track road). Upon reaching Straiton turn Left at the T-junction taking the road towards Newton Stewart. Approximately 1.5 miles out of Straiton turn Right at Balbeg Holiday Lodges sign, Balbeg is 0.25 miles along this road.
From Stranraer/Ireland
Follow the A77 North to Girvan. On leaving Girvan take the B734 at the roundabout heading to Dailly. Follow this road to Dailly joining the B741. Approximately 4 miles past Dailly turn Right heading towards Straiton
On arriving at Straiton turn Right, travel straight through the village. Approximately 1.5 miles out of the village turn Right at the Balbeg Holiday Lodges signs. Balbeg is 0.25 miles along this road.

Lodge Description
Balbeg Country Holidays are situated in dramatic scenery in the Southern Uplands of South West Scotland, some 50 miles south of Glasgow and 16 miles from the county town of Ayr.
The quality self catering holiday accommodation forms part of Balbeg Estate, a 300 acre estate which lies on the slopes of the valley of the Water of Girvan about 2 miles south of the delightful conservation village of Straiton.
Balbeg Estate extends from the riverbank and valley floor to the hilltops. There is also a section of salmon fishing on the Water of Girvan and a small lake with nature hide.
For families, Balbeg offers two outdoor play parks, a large nature lake with hide and acres of woodland walks.

The Rabbie Burns Lodge, set at the edge of The Wood, has a tremendous atmosphere. Being constructed of quality Scottish timber the woodland feel extends to the lodges.
