Holiday Park Description
The Drum Mohr Park itself was originally the walled garden of a monastery - and much of the tranquil atmosphere has remained intact. sheltered and wooded on all sides, this secluded park is mainly level and carefully landscaped. It has an extensive view on its northern aspect of the Firth of Forth.
All pitches are geneously spaced and are within easy reach of drinking water and waste disposal points. Two seperate and fully tile toilet blocks have been built to an exceptionally high standard. Incorporated in each block is a chemical toilet disposal point and a fully equipped laundry room.
At Drum Mohr we have 4 superior lodges in a combination of 2 or 3 bedrooms suitable to sleep from 2 - 6 people. We also have 3 bedroomed lodges fitted to a slightly higher standard which are, once again, suitable to sleep from 2 - 6 people. New for 2006 is our superior 2 bedroomed lodge with private hot tub!
All our lodges are fully equipped, with some bedrooms ensuite, bathroom, kitchen, dining area, lounge with TV and DVD. Outside seating area to the front of each lodge all with sea views. Electricity and bed linen is included in the cost of your stay. Own towels are required, metered laundry facilities available on site. An area in the centre of the park has been set aside as a children's play area with swings, slide etc.
Other on-site services include electric hook up points, hard standings and serviced pitches, pay phone, camping gas, calor gas and a well stocked shop. For the disabled, toilet and shower facilities are provided, and all doorways have ramped access. Dogs are allowed if kept on a lead and under control at all times.
Your host, William Melville lives on the site to ensure the closest possible attention to your requirements. to assist in this aim, visitor information, local brochures and leaflets are available at reception.
For further information on any aspect of your visit, please contact the park. We lppk forward to welcoming you to Drum Mohr one of Scotlands premier touring parks.
A Glance at our map will reveal the unique situation of Drum Mohr - 20 mins to the west lies Princes Street in the heart of Scotland's capital, Edinburgh - while on the other hand, the beautiful East Lothian countryside beckons, along with the Museum of Flight at East Fortune, final resting place of "Concorde". thus Drum Mohr is not likely to be a place you will choose for just an overnight stop. You'll want to sample at length this area of contrasts.
