Hotel Description
Offering the very best in service, comfort and food, the Grasmere has been gained many awards. We have an AA Red Rosette for culinery excellance, and a Silver Award from VisitBitain for hospitality and comfort.
All bedrooms are ensuite, and all have been recently refurbished to a high standard, with lovely soft furnishings and pretty accessories. The elegant drawing room opens onto the bar, and is a very pleasant place to relax after a hard day on the fells.
We have 2 ground floor room, and we welcome well-behaved dogs - but no children under 10 years old.
The 4-course candlelit dinner is the highlight of the day, and you will not be disappointed. Much is home cooked, even the bread rools, and wherever possible we use local produce, such as Herdwick Lamb or Hawkeshead Trout.
Many of our guest return again and again - why not come and find out why? You won't be disappointed.
