Two-storey cottage adjoining attractive lochside home, in large garden, with excellent views.
A private entrance hall leads to a large open-plan kitchen/living-room with loch views. The newly–fitted kitchen includes oven, hob, extractor, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave and washer/dryer. The living area has a maple dining table and chairs, double sofa bed, easy-chair, and a feature-fireplace. Also: TV, DVD player and a selection of DVDs, video, radio/CD-player, books, toys, plus lots of tourist information.
Upstairs, the double-bedded room, furnished with an antique suite, has hairdryer, TV, clock/radio, and electric blanket, plus panoramic Gareloch views. The adjoining bathroom has an over-bath shower, shaver point, constant hot water, and a selection of toiletries.
Cot or single futon available. We provide bedlinen, towels, gas central-heating and electricity. There are fresh flowers and a tea-tray with home-made cake to welcome you.
Outside there's a patio, garden furniture and off-road parking.
No smoking.
We welcome well-behaved dogs (sorry, one only, with own bed) which must not be left alone in the accommodation at any time. There are lots of good places for dog-walking in this area.
Garemount Lodge is an ideal base for exploring this beautiful area of Scotland. We're on the Clyde Sea Lochs Trail, adjoining the Loch Lomond National Park, within an hour of Glasgow, Stirling, the Trossachs, and Inveraray. Shandon Country Pursuits (clay-shooting, quad-biking, archery, fishing) is nearby, as is the Clyde Submarine Base. Helensburgh has two railway stations, interesting independent shops, Rennie Mackintosh's masterpiece The Hill House, a variety of restaurants and coffee shops, gardens, golf, sailing, tennis, bowling, putting, and swimming. The paddle steamer The Waverley visits Helensburgh for trips down the Clyde to the Kyles of Bute.
There are lots of places to visit in the area: castles, museums, whisky distilleries, gardens, Highland Games, sailing regattas, agricultural shows, golf tournaments...all amidst wonderful scenery. Enjoy!

Directions
We are four miles north of Helensburgh. Take the A814 lochside road from Helensburgh towards Garlochead. Pass through the village of Rhu. One and a half miles beyond Rhu, turn right at the Ardchapel turnoff (it's just beyond the Stuckenduff/Queenspoint turnoff). Turn immediate left onto a small slip-road. Garemount Lodge is the third entrance along (just after Amerwood and just before West Garemount) and it's the first house up the drive.
