Directions
Public transport.
Take the South West Trains service to Wareham.
Leave the station by the up platform (trains going to London) and look for the bus stop, a short distance away on the left hand side. Take bus 142 or 143 to Swanage. Get off the bus at the Swanage travel interchange, which is also the end of the route. Take a taxi to Chiltern Lodge.
Road.
From Wareham.
Take the A351 to Swanage, after passing through Corfe Castle the road will go slightly downhill. At the bottom of this hill look out for the fork right turning to Kingston and Worth Matravers. Take this road and after passing several hair-pin bends look out for a sharp left turn as you leave Kingston. Continue until you see a right hand turn to Worth Matravers. Take this road and carry on until you see the Square and Compass pub on the left. Turn sharp left here, after about 500m turn left in Newfoundland Close. Chiltern Lodge is the fourth house on the right.
From Swanage.
Leave Swanage by the A 351 looking out for a fork left turning to Langton Matravers. Take this turning and after passing through Langton look for a left hand turn signposted to Worth. Take this turning and after about 1.5km take the right hand turn into Newfoundland Close. Chiltern Lodge is the fourth house on the right.
From Winspit for SWCP path walkers.
Follow the track from Winspit up to the village. The track emerges at the bottom of a row of cottages called 'London Row'. Locate the duck pond in the centre of the village. Take the road that goes uphill and after a short distance lookout for the pub (Square and Compass). Take the right hand fork in the road and after about 400m turn left into Newfoundland Close. Chiltern Lodge is the fourth house on the right.

We are very close to the South West Coast Peninsula Path ideally located for exploring the Jurassic Coast by car or walking the local paths. The local Pub is a short walk from the front door as is the village centre.
