Take a trip on the Babbacombe Cliff Railway down to Oddicombe Beach, on one of the only few original working funicular railways. The Babbacombe Cliff Railway has been transporting visitors up and down the 240 foot cliff face since 1926.
Just a short stroll from Babbacombe you will find the historic village of St. Marychurch. This pretty, Victorian-style pedestrianised precinct offers a wide choice of independently owned small shops and boutiques.
No visit to the area would be complete without a few hours spent in Bygones, a fascinating Victorian Museum, and the nearby Babbacombe Model Village. A short drive will bring you to the prehistoric caves of Kents Cavern where you will travel through a million years and back before the day is out!

At the end of M5 Motorway carry on along A380 for approximately 17 miles to Torquay. After second Island on to the A3022 following signs to Torquay and Teignmouth. At third set of traffic lights turn left (Currys Store on left MacDonalds on right) signed Teignmouth, Plainmoor, T.U.F.C. St Marychurch and Babbacombe. Over traffic lights. At top of hill pass petrol station on left, over island along Hele Road. Down hill to two mini islands, turn left then right up Westhill Road (School on left), straight on for half a mile to traffic lights. Continue into Warbro Road. Take the second left into Aveland Road.
