The local events include the Aboyne and Deeside Festival in July, Arts and Crafts Exhibition, ActiveAboyne Outdoor Activities Festival and Highland Games.
This area of Aberdeenshire has a wealth of attractions where you can easily reach other areas of Scotland. Take a day trip and follow the Castle Trail, Malt Whisky Trail, Victorian Heritage Trail, Stone Circle Trail, The Coastal Trail and Highland Games. Explore the area on foot with Lochnagar and Mount Keen Munroes close by. Golfers can enjoy the numerous courses with parkland, heathland and links courses. From Edinburgh/Glasgow continue towards Perth taking the A93 via Braemar and Ballater or the A90 via Dundee and Forfar bypass to the B974 for Banchory via Fettercarin. The sign for Aboyne can be seen on the left 7 miles before Banchory.
From Inverness take the A9 South for 20 miles to Grantown-on-Spey then to Aboyne via Tomintoul and Strathdon.

Struan Hall offers the perfect place to stay close to Aboyne in Aberdeenshire with a range of rooms including twin, double and single rooms for up to 6 guests.
Non-smoking, each room is decorated to a high standard, comfortable and clean with en-suite facilities or private bathroom, TV, radio, tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryer. We welcome children over 7 although there is no family room an occasional bed can be set up in a twin room. Pets too are welcome if they sleep in the owners' car and do not enter the house.
Breakfast is served in the dining room between 8am and 8:30am or at a time to suit you by arrangement. If you require a special diet or are vegetarian please let us know in advance so you can be catered for.
The lounge is free for guests to enjoy as a place to relax and there is direct access from the Struan Hall to several woodland walks. Parking is available to the back of the Bed & Breakfast.
