From Arendal you are only a 10 minute walk into the centre of Penrith with a range of pubs and restaurants and a selection of attractions like Penrith Castle, Museum, Castle Park, Penrith Golf Course, cinema and sports complex. Penrith Beacon and Beacon Edge provide stunning panoramic views of the Lakeland Fells, Pennines and Eden Valley.
Penrith is ideally located for exploring many of the North West's attractions including The Lake District with Aira Force waterfall, steamer trips and fell walks and walking in Eden Valley and the North Pennines. Brougham Castle is a 13th century fortress or there are the historic houses of Hutton in the Forest and Dalemain. With the children you can take a day out to Lowther Castle and Parkland or Rookin House outdoor activity centre. Carlisle is 18 miles away with its castle, cathereal, museum and Sands Centre with theatre, sports complex and shopping centre.

From the M6, exit at Junction 40 and follow the signs for Penrith at the roundabout. At the small roundabout take the second exit, drive past the station and take the first exit at the small roundabout.
From the next roundabout by Morrisons supermarket, take the second exit and drive down the hill. After the traffic lights move into the right hand lane and drive round the block. After you've done a U turn, move into the left hand lane just before the town hall and turn left onto Portland Place. At the mini roundabout take the first right and take the first left onto Lowther Street where you will find Arendal three quarters along the road at number 67.

B&B / Guest House Description
Arendal offers bed and breakfast accommodation with three comfortable rooms available to help you unwind after a busy day exploring the area. There are two double rooms with en-suite shower facilities and a third room with bunk beds for guests with children. Each room is centrally heated and include a hairdryer and in the doubles, tea and coffee making facilities and television. If you need ironing facilities just let us know and they can be provided.
Beautifully furnished, you can enjoy your breakfast in the dining room with a choice of Full English breakfast using locally sourced produce or a Continental breakfast. If you have any special dietary requirements, let us know so we can cater for you. If you'd prefer to just come back to the Guest House at the end of the day than looking for somewhere to eat, you can arrange to have an evening meal.
We welcome a variety of guests are Arendal including walkers and cyclists (you will find us on the Coast to Coast cycle route) and there is plenty of parking available on the street.
