Set in the heart of the Lake District, Grasmere is a charming little village in a perfect location to make the most of Cumbria and the National Park. An inspiration to many, the village includes Dove Cottage - William Wordsworth's first home and St. Oswald's Church contains his memorial and gravestone. There is a variety of old buildings, antique shops, book shops, tea shops, specialist clothing shops, some of the best galleries and a selection of restaurants and pubs. Walkers of all ages and abilities can explore what there is on offer whether a walk along the river or the fells to enjoy the picturesque panoramic views.

Double room with four poster bed: £40
Prices per person per night, include breakfast and require a minimum 2 night stay.
Bank holidays incur a £5 per room per night supplement charge.
Written confirmation and £100 deposit or 50% of total cost (on bank holidays & stays over 7 days) required on booking. Payment to be made by cash or cheque as we are unable to accept debit or credit cards.

With elegance and charm Ryelands is in a peaceful area and hosts Lyn and John provide a welcoming and friendly service to all guests. There are three double rooms available including one four poster and each with en-suite facilities and fantastic views out over the fells and lake.
The rooms are each decorated in a country house style to a high standard so each guest can feel at home and comfortable. Each room has a television and tea and coffee making facilities.
Silver Howe with four poster bed also has a settee, en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and views across the lake.
Heron Pike too has a settee, en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and views towards the village and fells.
Loughrigg to the south of the house has a shower room and views over the garden and paddock towards the lake.
Breakfast, served in the dining room offers a wide choice from the menu which should suit all tastes.
If you require use of the boot and dry room they are available and there is a payphone on request. There is private parking and when the weather is nice guests are free to sit outdoors and unwind with a book.
Unfortunately we cannot accommodate children under 10 years old and pets are not allowed. Ryelands is also exclusively for non-smokers.
