The 6 cottages should provide you with all you need whether on a week, short or weekend break with lots of information provided on things to do in the area, the local beaches, walking and cycling trails. Shire, Lower Barn, Buzzard, Farm, Badger and Stable Cottages each have their own characters with kitchens including microwave oven and dishwasher. During the colder months you can keep warm with the gas central heating throughout the cottages and there's a laundry area available. Outside you can sit out in the gardens on the hardwood seating with tables and enjoy the scenic views with a barbeque looking out over the sea and South Hams. There is plenty of parking available and if you do need any help, our Farm House is just a few metres away.
Shire Cottage is the largest sleeping 10 – 12 people in 5 twin bedrooms all of which are en-suite shower rooms. Decorated to a high standard guests can relax in the spacious rooms and lounge area on the 3 sofas and easy chairs in front of the television with digi box. There's a video player and mini stereo for more entertainment. In the kitchen there's enough space to cook on the 5 gas hob and double oven with grill plus two fridges (one with freezer space) and enough crockery and cutlery for everyone. Guests do need to bring towels but all the bed linen is provided. The cottage looks out onto the courtyard and further out past the trees and Moor.
Lower Barn can sleep 6 people in this characteristic Victorian cottage. The cottage has kept the exposed beams and been refurbished to a high standard with modern facilities and coastal views. In the lounge you can relax on the suite and watch the TV or make use of the mini stereo. In the kitchen you can cook up a delicious meal on the electric hob/oven and store food in the fridge/freezer. Glasses and dishes are supplied. The bedrooms are comfortable with a four poster en-suite shower room and two twin rooms at the other end of the cottage with bathroom and separate shower.
Buzzard Cottage again has the charm of the exposed beams with en-suite double bedroom, bunk room with extra bed, bathroom with separate shower and a spiral staircase leading to a twin room. Sleeping 6 or 7 people the cottage is spacious with comfortable living area and kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, fridge freezer microwave and cutlery, dishes and glasses for everyone.
Farm and Badger Cottages each sleep 4 people with upstairs double 4 poster beds with en-suite facilities and twin rooms with separate bathroom and shower. The kitchens come complete with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher as well as dishes and glasses for all. Guests can relax in the lounge and both cottages look onto the courtyard with Badger Cottage also having a view of the farm.
Stable Cottage can sleep 2 so perfect for a romantic weekend away. Decorated to a high standard like the others, the cottage is cosy but spacious. Relax in the lounge on the sofa or easy chairs and create an appetising meal in the kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge freezer and dishes and cutlery provided. The bedroom is a 4 poster double and bathroom has a large shower. There are scenic views out onto the courtyard and coast beyond.
Pets are permitted in our cottages but we do ask they are kept under control and they must remain downstairs and not jump onto the furniture. Each cottage is non-smoking so they are kept clean for all our guests to enjoy.
We've tried to make our farm as eco-friendly as possible and encourage guests to recycle. You can buy locally and get delicious fresh produce from the farmers market and use public transport instead of the car or even take a walk.
