Just a mile walk from the cottages you will find the beach at Crackington Haven which is quiet and family orientated. There's a coffee shop, café and pub to keep you refreshed and offers good meals. The National Trust cliff land offers very scenic views and the beaches are extremely popular with surfers. Bude can be found 9 miles from the beach and with Widemouth and Crackington are all patrolled by RNLI Lifeguards.
All the Cottages are in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty so walkers will enjoy exploring what the area has to offer. There's Boscastle close by which has been restored since the 2004 floods and to the south, Tintagel known for its Castle and legends of King Arthur and his Knights. The Eden Project is about 35 to 40 minutes away and you're not far from shops and pubs which can be found 1 to 2 miles away.
Rostowan which is in South Cornwall has the sea views, walks and woodlands which can be discovered. There are ancient churches and buildings. Even during summer, the beach at Towan is usually quiet.

With a range of Cottages available, you are sure to find one that suits your needs for a perfect self catering break.
The Mineshop Miners Cottages all have beach names and are close to Crackington Haven in a picturesque wooded valley. Kiberick, Garyvoe, Parada, Bantry, Kallowen and Rusey cottages can sleep up to 4 people in 2 bedrooms and are decorated to a high standard with leather lounge suites, colour television, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with bath and shower and double and twin/bunk (please let us know which you'd prefer) beds. Outside there's an entrance porch and either balcony or patio where you can sit and enjoy the views of the fields and woods. For safety for pets and children the area is fenced.
The Old Shippon can sleep up to 6 people in 3 bedrooms: 1 double and 2 twin rooms. Situated by the banks of the stream it leads through the valley down to the beach. The kitchen is fully equipped and there's a large decked area with table for you to sit outside and enjoy the garden. Popular during the colder months, this cottage has a glowing wood burning stove which will keep you cosy.
The Old Smithy is a conversion from a Blacksmith's shop and has retained a lot of its character and charm with exposed beams. The cottage will sleep up to 4 people in a double and bunk room and includes lounge/diner, colour television, fully equipped kitchen and fitted bathroom. There are heaters in all the rooms and the cost of storage heating is included during the colder months.
Cancleave can be found between Crackington Haven and Widemouth Bay on the coast road. Sleeping up to 8 people, the Cottage has ¼ acre of lawned garden and spectacular views out over Bude Bay. There is a path just outside the garden gate which leads down to the pebbled beach and miniature oak forest.
Rostowan is near St Mawes on the south coast of Cornwall. Entry to the Villa is by a ½ mile rough track which is not suitable for all cars. Found on the Roseland Peninsula there are picturesque views with the creek on one side and you can hear the sea on the other. With 2 bedrooms sleeping up to 4 people, there's a bathroom with bath and electric shower, kitchen, lounge and dining room with a relaxing seating area, colour television, video recorder, CD/Radio and wood burning stove. Outside there is a large private garden and decked area with garden furniture.
