Local Attractions
For those with a golfing interest we are not far from Machrihanish and Dunaverty golf clubs. A variety of restaurants and cafes can be found just a short ride away and we are only 2 miles from the airport with twice daily flights from Glasgow International Airport.
We'd be more than happy to recommend walks in the area and there is so much to see with the sea cliffs, beaches, islands and moorland landscapes.

From Stewarton, turn left onto the B842 signposted Southend and Mull of Kintyre. After a mile and a half and you head uphill there should be a B&B sign and two trees on the right marking the drive gateway. Continue for 1/3 mile, past the lodge, and you will see the House.
Please ring the bell and if there is no answer you should be able to find us in the office around the back of the house.

B&B / Guest House Description
Oatfield House has 2 double rooms and one twin room available, all with full en-suite facilities. Guests have use of the parlour in the evenings to relax beside the log/coal fire and watch the widescreen digital television and breakfast provided in the panelled dining room. Internet access is available with WiFi and USB Broadband connections through the house.
The 6 acres of private ground are home to ponies and a variety of local wildlife in the pond including frogs and newts. There are lawns and woodland, Folly and gardens to be explored. There is a great history behind the land here with an Iron Age Fort still in existence in part of the estate. Neolithic pottery was found near the fort and is now on display at Glasgow's Kelvingrove Museum.
The weather here is truly unique and often better than just a few miles away with shelter from the Gulf Stream and the area is notable for its palm trees.
