Also, to the south is Llantwit Major, the oldest seat of Christian learning in Britain. Near Llanwit is St Donats Castle which, each year, hosts the Vale of Glamorgan Music Festival.

The Romantic ruins of Beaupre Castle are but a couple of miles away. There is so much excellent walking, especially the heritage coast which has wild unspoilt beauty. Horse riding and golf can also be enjoyed locally.

We are situated within an hour of the Gower Peninsula and the Brecon Beacons and many, many other places of interest.

Cardiff, the capital of Wales, is within half an hour and has a fine medieval Castle and excellent museums. On the outskirts of the city is the tiny romantic Castell Coch and the fascinating Museum of Welsh Life must not be missed.
