"This is one of my favourite places for a Sunday afternoon walk! Blagdon is a lovely little village in Somerset about 40 minutes drive from Bristol or Bath.
You can see the lakes as your driving through Blagdon and you need to make a careful turn off to the right on a sharp left hand bend in the village to get down to the lakes.
You can take a stroll on either side of the lakes and it's not unusual to spot the odd squirrel or deer.
There are vast numbers of wild birds on the lake itself and it has been named a site of special scientific interest.
I just think it's one of the most peaceful and pretty walks I know and one of the best remedies to walk off the Sunday lunch from the pub in the village!"
