"Rocks East Woodland is situated at the meeting of the counties of Gloucester, Somerset and Wiltshire and is a short drive from Bath or Chippenham.
I have camped there about 5 times and whilst the provisions on camp are fairly basic, there is always a warm welcome and the surroundings are beautiful.
One of the best features of the campsite is the woodland. Walking sticks are available outsite the reception and it's possible to make a donation towards the maintainance of the woods at the start of the walk.
On the walk itself, you spot all sorts of animals, a teddy bears picnic and plenty of interesting carvings along the way. There is an ornamental lake under restoration, which is stunning and also an old viaduct over the original coaching road.
A highly enjoyable walk which should be manageable by most levels of ability, with a few steep hills."
