"The Cotswold town of Winchcombe is blessed with 4 "olde worlde", pubs who provide good food, real ales, and open fires, namely the Corner Cupboard,The White Lion, and the White Hart,and the Plaisterers. However people travel for hundreds of miles for the real "Jewel in the Crown!"
Number 5, North Street in Winchcombe (GL54 5PS)is a Michelin star restaurant for people who love good gourmet food,fine wines,in cosy surroundings. A warm welcome and discreet service compliment the quality food,which is a wonderful way to finish off a fine days walking on sections of the famous Cotswold way. With Sudeley castle (once the home of an English queen) within walking distance, and Toddington steam railway 3 miles away, and Regency Cheltenham 8 miles away, Winchcombe is a fantastic base for a relaxing short break or main holiday!"
