"This pub used to be a Blacksmiths, hence the title, it is a quaint little pub set in the picturesque village of Errol. The pub is located in the village centre and is considered by some, the village's hub. The pub itself has many quirky features inlcuding an old hearth which was used when it was a blacksmiths, this is used to heat the pub, and it has little souvenirs from this time, including old irons and lanterns, and old scenic pictures of Errol High street. The pub offers a wide selection of drinks and also offers food, all at reasonable prices. They have a set menu but also have a specials board on every night, for something a bit different. It is a cosy pub, it is quite small inside, so you seem a bit closer to evryone surrounding you but not in an unpleasant way. The service is excellent, the staff and punters are friendly and it's a lovely traditional atmosphere. They allow children of all ages into the pub for food and since the smoking ban came into place, it's been a whole lot nicer to eat there. I urge you to check it out if you're ever in the area.
