"On my way back from a camping trip to mid Wales we had to find somewhere to stop off for a "Comfort Break" and to feed my 3 year old son. I had often intended to call in at some point, but as it was so close to home I usually opted to carry on by. I am so glad that I did. The Centre itself is known locally as "The Mountain Centre" and it certainly is! There are breathtaking views of Pen-Y-Fan and the surrounding moors. There is a large and friendly visitor centre, with nice clean toilet facilities and an excellent cafe.
Now my little son has a few problems, crowds being one of them, so we opted to eat outside. There is a huge enclosed field and an excellent playground. He was able to go on everything safley by himself, which left me free to relax and enjoy the invigorating mountain air and the views. Just the thing for an over excited toddler and a frazzled Mum.
I will be back again this year now that I've finally discovered it. I am a keen walker and it looks like an ideal base to do a mountain walk straight from the car-park onto the adjoining moor known as Mynydd llltyd.
Location 5 Miles South West of Brecon. Take the A470 towards Merthyr Tydfil and take a well sigh-posted right hand turn in the Village of Libanus.
