"This is a little known attraction in the Stockport area hidden near the village of Romiley.
It is a lovely day out with a chapel (and an interesting slideshow), a well, herb gardens and cafe to visit and some scenic walks in the woods and along the canal situated nearby.
In the herb gardens there are fruit and vegetables being grown along with herbs and bee hives. The garden is very peaceful and a must for flower and nature enthusiasts.
After a visit to the gardens head up to the café for a tea and a sit down or take a wander around the old grave yard situated right outside the café.
Every year at the end of July the well is decorated with flowers by a dedicated team of helpers for the Chadkirk Festival and well blessing and this festival is “well” worth a visit. Cast a coin into the well and see if your wishes will come true.
Carry on heading up the hill and you arrive at a set of steps leading up to the canal – this also makes a lovely walk towards Marple.
For opening times and information please call 0161 474 4444 – the chapel is open Saturday and Sunday afternoons."
