"UCI Norwich is part of the Riverside complex. So its got excellent surroundings to drink and have a meal and generally a good time!
A wide boxoffice desk greets you as you arrive, with like 10 attendants to keep queues to a minimum (5 min wait maximum!). You can avoid the queues by booking tickets on the phone or online and swiping your card through a ticket machine in the foyer, which prints your tickets for you.
Standard tickets are currently £6.00 for an Evening Adult ticket, with discounts for Students and children. This is excellent value considering what a great cinema this is!
Cinema's dont make decent money on ticket sales. The major money is in the snacks. Compare the price of a hotdog from a cinema to a pack of 12 from Tesco and you will get an idea of the mark up on them,lol. But if the price were to go down on food, the price of tickets would go up, so it's "swings and roundabouts". Trick is to eat before you go!
UCI has plenty of snack counters. These include the hot-dog stand, Ben and Jerry's concession and a pick-and-mix stand.
At the back of the foyer is a small auditorium where you can watch trailers before going into the cinema screens. This is a good way of killing time if you're early for your film
An extra few quid on your ticket will take you away from the normal people lol and take you to the gallery. Pay £13 for certain showings and this entitles you to enter The Gallery, and a number of extras:
VIP waiting area including bar. Free film food, free soft drinks, and a comfy chair to watch the film. This chair is in a separate area at the back of the auditorium, so you can look down on the cheap seats below should you wish to do so!
£13 may sound a lot, but I think it's worth it. The seating is great compared to the normal seats!"
