"The Two Ronnies often would swear by saying "Effingham", but how many people know its a real place! A tiny place but packed with celebs, you never know how you bump into in the local hardware store (ok actually Michael Caine only ever seems to be seen in Annie's cafe!), its beautiful and idyllic, and full of countryside- with the odd gold course or two!

Lots of woods to walk in if you like that, or wide open spaces if you prefer those. Or there are lots of walks which combine the two, there is so many different places to walk you could live here all your life and never see it all!

Effingham has a lot of history with the ship as its logo- due to Lord Howard of Effingham who helped defeat the Spanish Armada. So if you're into history this is another good place for you.

Its in a good location, sandwiched between 2 theme parks, one being Chessington World of Adventures which is great for young children, and in the opposite direction is Thorpe Park, a good place for those with more of a sense of adventure or adrenaline seekers!

Effingham is only an hour outside of London and easy to get to via a direct train
