"Chessington World Of Adventures

Not only is this an Amusement Park but it also contains it's own Zoo. I have been visiting here since as long as I can remember, each year there are always improvements. Whether it be new rides, new shops or new animals being introduced to the Zoo.

This is an ideal day out as it takes all day to get round the whole Park, although if you go in the Holidays or on weekends, you may find that the queues are long and this can slow your day down. I would advise getting here when the Park opens to take advantage of the whole day. Try to wear comfortable shoes, and bring a rain Mac (this is not just for the weather but also some of the rides), also if you want to save a bit of money take a pack lunch I would suggest using a carrier bag to put your food in so u can throw your rubbish away (less to carry). There are numerous picnic areas around the park that you can use, all have senic views and also have bins and toilets near.

When entering the Park you can either choose to begin your day at the Zoo or go straight to the rides. I usually go to the Zoo first, you can get a map and timetable for the animal shows, this is were you can see them being fed and find out a little more information regarding them. At the end of the shows you have the opportunity to ask question to the keepers.

Some of the animals that you can see are the Tiger, sea lions, otters, monkeys also visit the Reptile and insect house and many others too. They also now have a Children's Zoo where you can make some furry friends and the children can meet pygmy goats, guinea pigs and rabbits.

Once you have visited the animals it is time for the fun, the RIDES: each section of the park is named with different names for example BeanoLand is one it is based on the Dennis the Menace Character. You can meet 'Gnasher' and the rest of the Beano gang as they cause no end of mischief and mayhem throughout the day in Beanoland. There are rides here too although there are some restrictions this is the same throughout the park.

Now there are some very Scary Rides and some of these have height restrictions, also people with certain medical conditions will be unable to go on them too. Each ride has a notice at the entrance to let you know these restrictions if any.

Now my favourite rides are Rameses Revenge which well is a ride which goes upside down while twisting vigorously, whilst being squirted by fast jets. Now it might not sound much fun or scary but it definitely turns your stomach. This is one for the older children and adults, it has height restriction too. Also I love the Dragon Falls this has been there for as long as I can remember, you ride in a log boat which can carry up to 4 people, you then travel along a winding setting to then climb up a little slope and then splash you travel down a small water fall that gives you a small taste of what's to come. Which is the large waterfall, it is rather high up but as you travel towards the drop you can admire the park and it 's surrounding. (P.S this is where you should be wearing the Mac I told you about at the beginning). When you do take the plunge down the falls there is a Camera nicely located, so when you are screaming it takes a great shot. After the ride is over you can view the picture and decide if you would like to purchase it. They do these in paper weights too, I bought some when I went they are great, I think they cost £5.00 each.

Ok there is so much at this park including many different food outlets including a Mc Donald, this is priced exactly the same as a normal one. Also there are many little food places that do Candy Floss, Doughnuts and more. There is a pub too, please don't go here before you go on the rides.

Not only this but there is Arcades, also Fare type games such as knock the bottles over these you have to pay for separately I am afraid.
