TOP INDIAN RESTAURANT
The Mysore, 101 High Street, Newport Pagnell
Telephone: 01908 216426 ££
The Mysore is not just the best Indian restaurant in Milton Keynes, it is up there with the best in the country. Renowned nationwide for its excellent Indian food, the Mysore is a treat for any curry lover. The menu has a wide selection of meals, from the classic chicken tikka massala, to dishes you might not have tried before. The vegetarian selection is one of the best you will find too. The staff are on hand to answer any questions you might have, and can offer an in depth explanation of any dish you feel like trying. The building itself is traditional stone outside, but deliciously modern inside. The moment you walk through the door, you are greeted by the waft of fresh Indian spices. The quality of everything this restaurant does is exceptional. From the food to the drink, they take great pride and passion in offering the best service available. On a Sunday, the Mysore has a mouth-watering buffet, with over 10 different dishes, ready and waiting for you to tuck in to. Take away is also available. Prices are reasonable, and in line with other Indian restaurants. The buffet is around £9 and half price for children.
TOP CHINESE RESTAURANT

Elements is a unique opportunity to not only sample some of the best Chinese food in the country, but also Thai, Japanese and Malaysian, all for one set price. Elements is located in the Theatre District of Milton Keynes central, and is a minutes walk from the theatre itself. The food is served as a buffet, you simply walk up and help yourself to what you want. The food is split into Starters, main courses and desserts. The food is freshly hand cooked by experienced chefs, and everything tastes truly A class. The mouth-watering flavours are unforgettable. From favourites like sweet and sour pork and egg fried rice, to dishes you have never tried before, elements has it all for you to try, for one set fee. Never before have I experienced such excellence, for such a low price. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, happy to assist with any special requests.
TOP PUB RESTAURANT
The Suffolk Punch, Lancliffe Drive, Heelands
Telephone: 01908 311166 £
Location Map: www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?lat=52.052&lon=-0.7764&sc ale=25000&icon=x
This large, modern pub is located in the estate of Heelands, close to the city centre. Although this pub is owned by a chain, the food is exceptional. As well as having the benefit of a well stocked pub, you can experience high quality, traditional pub food, without the expense. From Lasagne to a meat feast, everything on the menu is a treat to eat. The chef has won awards for excellence, and is renowned in the area for this. Everything is always cooked to perfection, just how you want it, and great care is taken to ensure you enjoy every part of your meal. For example, the carrots are always soft and cooked as they should be, the steaks are exactly how you ask them to be cooked, and chips are always fresh and crispy. If its a pub meal you are looking for, look no further than the Suffolk Punch!
TOP HIGH CLASS RESTAURANT
Robinsons 18-20 St John Street, Newport Pagnell
Telephone: 0871 4743 801 £££
Location Map: www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?lat=52.141&lon=-0.6863&sc ale=200000&icon=x
What can I say about Robinsons? Well, its just about the finest restaurant you can find. The owners have put a lot of hard work and effort into making their business, and a few years later, its still going strong. Infact the owner, who is the head chef, has worked for the Savoy, London and was also chef to the BBC's directors, a position they made just for him! the food is an absolute delight to the pallet. Freshly prepared dishes, with local ingredients always used - it just HAS to be sampled to be believed. The vast menu changes regularly, but feature dishes like Slow Cooked Lamb Shank, Mash and Rosemary Jus, my personal favourite. Inside, the scene is modern and relaxing. Ideal for that romantic meal, or simply as a special treat. I say it again, not to be missed
TOP FAST FOOD
Napoli Fish+Chips 175 Newport Road, New Bradwell
Telephone: 01908 393193
Location Map: www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?lat=52.0668&lon=-0.7981&s cale=100000&icon=x
A remarkable fish and chip shop, with a brilliant menu to match. I visit Napoli once every couple of weeks, and it is the only chip shop in Milton Keynes I use. Why? because of the superb quality of food of course! The fish is brought into the shop daily, hand selected by the owner. The chips are always tasty and best of all, fresh. For those who don't eat fish, the menu has all sorts, from Chicken to Battered sausages. Talking of batter, you won't find much better than there's. It is crispy, and full of flavour. Infact, its tempting to have a side order of batter! You will find Napoli in the estate of New Bradwell, close to Wolverton, and a few minutes drive from CMK.
