"Upstairs at the Grill is a luxurious, velvety, decadent venue boasting many features and facilities whilst remaining intimate and full of character. Both owners, Neil McDonalds and Mark Jarvis, both good friends of mine, began their careers at the Savoy Hotel, London and between them have worked in thirteen different countries. That coupled with the experience of Paul Robb, head chef, who was trained at Aubergine in London' and Paul Connolly, Sommelier, ensures that a truly incredible experience is enjoyed by all the guests. The two floors of Upstairs at the Grill have been designed so you may experience the decedent atmosphere of the upstairs bar before being seduced by the grill. Whilst relaxing upstairs with a bespoke cocktail or a drink of your choice, you are invited to savour their extensive menu which included speciality cuts of meat, fish and the finest, freshest ingredients. I really enjoyed this part!! Upstairs at the Grill is Chester's only steakhouse as I found out. The food was amazing; I strongly recommend visiting this wonderful place."
