Haunted UK - Salcey Forest

"This is the first of my haunted UK reviews, and in my opinion, Salcey Forest is a scream! For ghost hunters and the curious alike, Salcey Forest will raise the hairs on your neck. By day, a wonderful spot for a family walk, by night a haven for supernatural lovers.
LOCATION/DIRECTIONS
You can find salcey forest between Northampton and Milton Keynes. Simply come off Junction 14 of the M1, and follow signs for Newport Pagnell. Go through Newport Town Centre, pass Woolworths on your left, and exit Newport Pagnell. Follow the road over the bridge for about 5-7 miles, and salcey forest is signposted on your left. It is not far from the village of Hanslope.
THE HAUNTED TRUTH (FROM OUR REAL EXPERIENCES!)
A forest might not seem like the kind of place to be haunted, but this one sure is! As you drive through the forest at night (not alone I might add!), park in one of the side roads or car parks. Then, you have two options. The scared amonst you can stay in the car with the doors locked, and the adventrious can explore the area. Me and a friend of mine, visit Salcey Forest about 3 times a month. We have heard things we can't explain and seen things we can't believe. Yes, the sceptics might say that it is our imagination, or we are making it up, but I have no reason to lie. Some of the things we have heard include screams, russling in the bushes (when there is clearly nothing there), loud laughing of a female and wood cutting (in the middle of the night!) The things we have seen? Well, the most frightning experience was in December 2005. We were walking through the south side of the forest about 3am, and my friend said it was getting cold, and he wanted to turn in. As he said this, a black circle shaped object ran under his legs, making no noise at all. It whisked off into the forest, never to be seen again. Who can explain that. Also, my friend claims to have seen another black object, in the shape of a woman. He was so convinced about what he saw, he sent the details to the paranormal database (www.paranormaldatabase.com) they believe it was the lover of Nell Gwynn, who the king had murdered, and is supposed to haunt this forest. There have been many sightings like this. I have never been to this forest and NOT seen something or heard something out of the ordinary - my imagination? Visit and see for yourself.
WHAT TO TAKE
You and a friend (at least one person), A car, Walkie Talkies if possible, a compass, a mobile phone and if you can, a video camera/recording device. Food and water and of course a torch (a good one)
TIMES TO VISIT
When we have visited the forest, it has been no earlier than 11pm, and we have stayed out no later than 3am. In our experience, things seem to happen between 1am and 2am.
SCARE FACTOR
Scary. I 100% do not suggest you visit alone, and only visit if you do not scare easily. A must for fans of most haunted and other programs of that nature"
