"A couple of years ago I went to stay at lake windermere and it was so lovely there I have been back every year since.
We rented a cottage at the top of windermere through english country cottages, There are wo main parts to the town the upper half there is an information centre which we found a very useful resourse for all the popular walks which show the picturesque views surrounding the lake district.

A particuly good walk of course was that round lake windermere itself, you cannot walk the whole way arounf but down by the lakeside there are rental moter boats which are fun and allow you to explore yourself or the ferry ride which takes you to the other side of the lake to a lakeside braserrie which served lovely food. altogether the ferry ride is a must if you are visiting windermere as you get to see the whole of the lake and all of the beautiful spots that are not visable on foot.
The town itself is also full of loads of quirkey knick knack shops and there is the beatris potter museum aswell which is also a must.

Overall if you want a peaceful holiday to get away from the normal working life i woul drate this 10/10"
