"The bar itself is located in the centre of the market, so if you don't know where it is, it can be hard to find. It is set over two floors (well one and a mezzine), and has all the advantages of a weatherspoons, such as being very cheap (it is owned by weatherspoons), as well as the advantages of it being a nightclub such as it is open from 11am till 2am.
As I said it is very very cheap, with most alcoholic drinks being around the £1.50 mark, even at night.
In the evenings it is very well policed by bouncers, two on the door and usually another 3 or four in the club itself.
On the weekends there is a shirt and shoes policy, but the rest of the week, the dress code is very relaxed.
There are various fruit machines (about 8 I think), two quiz machines (one upstairs and one downstairs), a cash machine (which does charge), a cigerette machine, and a dining area if you just want to pop in for food.
AS for food it's good value for money with prices very similar to weatherspoons, but with a slight variation on the menu (such as extra platters). They also do the 2 for £5.50 meals that you see in a lot of weatherspoon pubs. They stop serving food around 8pm, as it then becomes a club rather than a pub. There is a live DJ so you can request all your fav songs, it's pretty mainstream music with a mix of all the usuals, rather that a specific genre.
It's a good night out if you've got mates who can't agree or if you just want a cheap and cheerful night on the tiles.
