Tenby, not just for the golfTenby, Pembrokeshire, Wales MidRecommendation added: 04/03/2006 21:44 By: Rincewind (YSUK rating +26) Rincewind has been thanked 4 times for this contribution
"OK, the first time I went to Tenby was with friends, a short golf break, and a great time. The next time however was different, and so bags packed and car loaded with everything but the kitchen sink ( It wouldn't fit ) the family set out.
We found a lovely little guest house only a few mins walk from the clean golden beach, only small but well priced and run by a friendly couple who made us feel very welcome. The beach itself was clean, and had life guards which with the little ones is always good. Resisting the urge for just the one round of golf, off we went to Great Wedlock Dinosaur Park, just a couple of miles outside of the town, the kids loved it, and to my surprise so did I. I also loved the go-carting which is also only a short drive from the town and well worth it. Many a happy day that week was spent on the beach, Tenby sand seams good for castles, and when it was wet there was always something else to do, although the little ones groaned so much when I mentioned the museum and art gallery, that is some thing I will have to do next time I go back alone, If you can keep me off the golf course for a while."
