"I used to live in this pub, a very quirky out of the way pub, like the way they used to be made them. It almost has a slight medieval feel about it. Extremely friendly barstaff and locals, they all made me feel very welcome especially Dog, the Manager, he went out of his way to look after everyone. With a TV and a pool table you wont be stuck for things to do. I would say that this pub does the best steak and gravy pie for miles around at only £1.50 and doubles are generally under the £2.00 mark. But what makes this pub a local favourite is the Bass. According to some of the locals it is the best pint of Bass you will find for miles around. This is the kind of pub that won't allow the troublemakers in and should anyone be too merry or causing problems, it is taken care of in an instant. One of my favourite things about this pub was being able to request your favourite music at the bar. Also a dog friendly pub (no pun intended)! Top notch drinking hole!"
