"The King's Head is a fantastic award winning pub. Amongst 'Family Pub of the year' 1999, 2003 and 2006 the pub has won 'Village Pub of the year', 'Catering for Kids winner' and many more.
The owners David and Pam Watts are extremely friendly and do everything to ensure that you are comfortable and enjoying your time in their pub. I took my son (2 years old) and they had children's cutlery, bibs. Highchairs and toys to keep him amused. They were extremely accommodating.
The pub has a very large garden which has a large play castle, outdoor snakes and ladders and many garden toys from slides to tricycles, which is ideal for the adults to enjoy a relaxing beer while the children play safely.
The King's Head serves homemade food using ingredients from local suppliers all day, everyday. The menu is fantastic. My family had a comforting homemade steak and ale pie, homemade lasagne, fresh fish in homemade batter. All portions are very generous. The children's menu is so varied you are practically able to order anything they want!
We visited the pub in February so it was quite cold but I will certainly be returning to the King's Head in the Summer where there is live music in the gardens on a Sunday and live music every Saturday night (from June to September). There are many tables in the garden but I would imagine they do a roaring trade.
I would definitely recommend this pub to anyone who enjoys fine beer, good food and great service.
The pub is located just off the A148 King's Lynn to Cromer road, in the little village of Letheringsett.
