Chipping CampdenChipping Campden, Gloucestershire, England South WestRecommendation added: 09/02/2006 19:51 By: centrix (YSUK rating +8) centrix has been thanked 0 times for this contribution
"Chipping Campden is a charming town set in the heart of the Cotswolds. It was established as a market place for wool merchants (a popular landmark being the old Market Hall, with it's distinctive arches, in the centre of town) and is surrounded by countryside and farmland. The buildings are almost entirely made of Cotswold Stone and the High Street must compete for the title of "prettiest in the Cotswolds". There are a number of hotels, pubs and restaurants and a wonderful tearooms for those with a passion for cake! For those who love hiking there are some fabulous walks, with the "Cotswold Way" beginning from the town."
