"We've just come back from a lovely day at Woburn Abbey safari Park. We were inspired to visit after a recent trip to Frankie and Bennys. (at time or writing this) At frankies if you spend more that £20 you get given a voucher that allows a child free entry to the park (worth 13.50). We kept this and decided that as we're coming to the end of the school holidays it would be a lovely time to go.
The queues were very short and we waited only a couple of minutes to enter. The first thing to do is head around on the driving safari. I won't bore you with every detail but rest assured if youve got younguns they will LOVE this. Our 3 did. I think we were really lucky as the lions and elephants were really close to the track you drive down. You can stop your car to get a really good look. You see rhinos and many other exotic animals. The monkey enclosure was really entertaining especially if they take special attention to your car. They will quite happily rip your wing mirror or aerial off.
The driving safari takes about 45 minuted. By this time it was lunch time. We parked up on a massive open field. Most clever people had a picnic to pull out of their boot, we didn't think that far ahead and settled for some pretty average food in the park. Picnic next time! Take a couple of chairs.
In the park you can while away a few more hours on the advernture playground, watching the penguins, sea lions, spiders snakes and many more things.
If youve not been to wobern safari park, do so tomorrow. you wont regret it!"
