"Millennium point is in Birmingham city centre and as I spend every working day in the city, it is of no surprise that I have been to millennium point. It is a fantastic place which oozes interest and as it is in the centre, it attracts a lot of attention from everybody around. With thousands of visitors per year it is definitely somewhere you should try if you are near.
First the address:
Millennium Point
Curzon Street
Birmingham
B4 7XG
You can reach here by several ways. First by car is very easy as Millenium point is signposted from miles away so easy to find. There is a car park near and it is free which is good. Then Birmingham new street station is a five minute walk away so getting there by train is great as is the main bus routes of the city so public transport is great for millennium point.
The building is quite impressive which is great and you can see that it says millennium point across the building when you are on the train. As you walk in you will notice that the stairs are very modern and space age looking and everything in here is signposted so lets go through things in detail.
Think Tank:
The think tank is perhaps millennium points finest attraction and the one that brings people to it. This is a science and technology museum which hosts a lot of attractions to keep people interested for a good few hours. You do have to pay an admission fee to get in which is about £6 each and it is brilliant. It boasts a planetarium, a steam train carriage and so many activities for people of all ages. You can even perform a hip replacement, virtual at all.
The think tank is one place you must go to if you visit millennium point as it is so interesting and a lot of fun. I went with five friends and it was great and everybody had a good day.
The Imax Theatre:
This is perhaps the other major attraction of Millennium point and it is one to guarantee enjoyment in my opinion. They have a whole host of films in a fantastic theatre and as an Imax you can guarantee a big screen and a fantastic performance. The film I saw was a sea creature feature in 3-D which was fabulous and once again everybody enjoyed it. You can get times from millennium point and they are quite regular so you should be able to get into one.
The Hub:
Now the hub is the final part of millennium point and this basic refers to the entrance and public part where you don't have to pay to get into so you can just walk in and look around. There is a bank there and somewhere you can get some food and it has some information about Birmingham city centre. They do have events at this part but I have not been to one so cant tell you much about them.
So, basically millennium point is about going and having some fun and experiencing some things that you wouldn't anywhere else. I really do recommend going to the think tank and definitely to the Imax theatre as they are fantastic and truly worth the trip into Birmingham.
Recommend to all!!!
Thanks for reading.
