"I travelled to Stafford train station for three years of my life while I was at university and for those three years I came to love that station. Then I had a break from there for a year and then when I moved into my house I had to travel from there again and now I still travel from there quite a few times a year. It is a nice station and quite a good one to make you feel safe and here is why.

Ok so first the address:

Stafford Train Station
Station Offices
Station Road
Stafford
Staffordshire
ST16 2AA

Now the station is in a good location within Stafford. It is right in the centre so you can walk to the station from the town which is good and likewise if you travel to the station you can walk to the shops. Now Stafford is nice so it is worth a visit. The actual train station has some very good links around the UK including to two cities Birmingham and Manchester which are both worth visiting.

Trains are regular here and there are loads of platforms so a lot of trains pass through here constantly.

From the outside at the entrance the train station looks nice with modern signs which are red so they stand out and everywhere looks clean. From the outside you can see a taxi rank which is literally just in front of the entrance so you can always get a taxi. Then to the left there is the car park which fits over 300 cars so you should be able to get a space. You do have to pay for the car park and it is £6 per day.

The train station is also very close to buses so you should be able to find all transport links which is great for everything to be so close to the station.

Ok so when you are inside you will see that it is a very nicely laid out station. On the right you have all of the ticket booths which are always full of people which are good. You also have another ticket office where you can go in and discuss any problems you have which of course knowing trains is always good to have.

Straight in front of you are several big screens which detail all of the train times you could find. You just have to look for the station you are travelling to and then it details everything. Personally I prefer to just ask at the counter but they are useful nonetheless. There are screens showing you all of the upcoming trains and if they are on time or delayed or cancelled. Then in front still at the back of this room you will see a small shop where you can find sweets, drinks, newspapers and books and then the entrance ti the platforms.

On your left as you walk in you will see chairs to wait and a café which sells drinks and sandwiches and I have been in there quite a few times when I have been hungry. Their prices are fine so I always stop in there.

When you go through to the platforms it is clearly signposted where you have to go. You do have to walk stairs to get to some places but there are also lifts available if they are needed. The platforms are all tidy and waiting rooms are dotted around which are all heated as far as I can tell which is nice in the winter.

There are staff everywhere so if you need to find out anything you can just go and ask and they have always been friendly enough to me. Announcements always let you know when a train is coming and also if any delays, why they are there. All in all I think it is a very well laid out station that works very well indeed.

I would recommend this station o if you are travelling there I think you will find it fine. It is good that it is manned throughout at all times during the day so even at eleven at night you will find people there. There are also cameras all over the station so I always felt safe there.

If I had to travel there every day then it would be good as it is a lovely station. I think it is close to everything, has good links and is very safe so what else can you want from a train station.

Thanks for reading.
