"Chester is the most popular destination within Cheshire & one of Europe's top heritage cities.
Roman Chester has 2000 years of history & is very popular with the tourists. It's a must & I am proud to say my hometown. The attraction for me personally is the shopping (what can I say I'm a woman). Chester has one of the top shopping areas within the UK as well as being one of the most attractive Cities to be in & apart of. After a day's exhaustion of shopping until you drop there is plenty more to attract you to this City for all ages. Take a stroll along the River Dee where you can relax & take a boat trip, visit the museums, open bus tours, Chester Cathedral, take your chances at the races & even take a walk along the City Walls, all of which is such an amazing experience. For many who have children there is so much that will excite the kids. You MUST use the kiddies as an excuse to visit Chester Zoo & a popular one for me personally even as a child is the toy museum. Chester holds 4 festivals through the year. February: Festival of Romance March: Food & Drink Festival July: Summer Music Festival October: Literature festival If you're young at heart the nightlife is a must. Classy pubs, clubs, lounges & cocktail bars. Vodka Revolution bar is a favourite for me personally. Serves mouth watering food, snacks & a wide variety of drinks, shots & cocktails with all the comforts of leather sofas, great atmosphere & friendly bar staff." Was this recommendation useful?
