"I thought I would take some time to tell you about a very nice town in the West Midlands which I visit quite regularly. This town is Sutton Coldfield and is plenty big enough for a nice day out shopping and having a quick bite to eat. I am going to tell you about what it is like to go shopping in Sutton Coldfield in this review and let me tell you I could spend hundreds of pounds here, (that is why I try not to go to often).
First if I give you a location;

The above is the address for the train station which is right in the centre, a very short two minute walk from the centre of the town which is where all of the shops are. Ok first, Sutton Coldfield is really not that hard to find. You can come off the M6 and find it signposted around the Birmingham areas. Close to Sutton you can get buses there and if you come into Birmingham city centre then you can get a train there which only takes about twenty minutes so not that long.
There is plenty of parking for shoppers on 3 separate car parks all within a five minute walk from the main centre which is sign posted so you can't go wrong. The main centre is very tidy with plenty of bins around for rubbish and benches everywhere so that people can sit down if they wish.
Now let's take you a quick tour around some of the shops. Firstly Sutton has all of the general shops and by these I mean things like WH Smiths and Woolworths and Thornton's. They are all however big stores so you should be able to find what you are after.
Then other shops you have are a massive Marks and Spencer's and House of Fraser. Now Marks' is massive on two floors and sells a lot of stuff. House of Fraser is even bigger on a huge four floors and is my favourite shop in Sutton. It has all of the clothes brands, shoe brands, perfume and make up you could want and even has a massive home department on the bottom floor. There are great gifts for everybody here and they even have their own café in store for you to go to.
For other clothes shops you have things such as Dorothy Perkins and New Look but there are a few individual stand out stores. Sport shops, card shops, gift shops, book shops are also part of the shopping experience here at Sutton. You can generally find whatever you are after and it is great because it is not a spread out town so everything is next to each other which is nice.
For people who want something a bit different there is a small indoor market which sells some great things such as toys, beads, cards and food. Then the outdoor market which is usually on of a weekend is absolutely fantastic. You will find great gift ideas for yourself and others on this market. My favourite stall when he is there is an artist who sells wonderful wildlife paintings on there. We have a few now between my family as they are unusual and very individual.
I think my favourite shop in Sutton at the moment is Hawkins Bazaar which sells such wonderful and unusual toys for all ages. One of my favourites in there at the moment is the cocktail maker it sells so I am holding out for that for Christmas so if you fancy like treating me then go ahead.
So after all of your shopping you must be thirsty or hungry or both. In the main centre there is a pub but I can't remember what it is called unfortunately. It is in the centre though and you can see it when you are by Waterstones. Then you have places like McDonalds for your fast food and places like Costa for some nice food.
Restaurants are more out of the centre though so you would have to get back in your car I am afraid.
Also in the centre you can find a cinema and more unusual shops if you are adventurous and walk away from the main centre. In my opinion though Sutton is great and for Christmas shopping at the moment I have had most of my stuff from there which is great. I think it is definitely a town worth visiting if you are around and a great day out. We visit here at least once a month as we love it.
