Fantastic little town!

"We went to bowness for 3 nights and stayed at the stags head hotel which was really nice and had a late bar/disco in the basement for residents only! Lots to do during the day including boat trips on the lake, shopping, pubs and arcade. We found it to be a nice quiet relaxing place especially if you get the good weather as people tend to sit around the lake or outside on of the many small pubs in the town, some of the pubs even had live musicians playing quietly outside! Plenty of places to eat including small cafes and larger restuarnts. The town comes to life at night as there are the smaller pubs but also the larger ones such as the sports bar which have discos upstairs so something for everyone really! Looking at going again the same time next year over the bank holiday weekend, book accomadation early as can sell out quickly!"
