"The 'Huntsman Inn' is a wonderful pub located near the catch water drain of Meltham. If you follow Holmfirth road straight upwards straight out of Holmfirth, continue up this road until you reach the huntsman inn. It's a wonderful newly build pub which even have helicopter flights from this location taking you over the moors with some fantastic scenic views.
The pub serves fantastic large adult meals and children's meals aswell. They have a great selection of food which is always delicious. It's very smart inside and there are picnic benches outside if you want to have a drink, or even eat out. You can easily walk to this pub up through from Royd edge located at the bottom of Meltham. It's a great scenic and moderate climb to it. Then when the footpath ends, you just follow the road down and it's a couple of mins before you reach the pub.
The food is reasonably priced, and it's a large size which makes it excellent value for money. You have to order at the bar like many pubs operate and the food takes about 25 mins.
Many people don't know, or haven't discovered this pub and it's fantastic. It's out of the way but easily to get to when you know where it is located. It's always quite busy and it a must for everyone, couples, family's even if your going on your own or with mates it's got a wonderful atmosphere."
