"The Ingleton waterfall walk located in the heart of the Yorkshire dales is amazing. They have plenty of parking spaces in a wide open field which is charged at fairly reasonable prices for the day. The walk begins with a moderate climb up through cliffs and gorges its very scenic. You pass numerous waterfalls and other interesting features. You even pass an old tree with a variety of coins in which looks fantastic.
After the moderate climb through the forest you end up in the open overlooking mountains, fields it's very beautiful. You can make the walk as long as you like, however, after the moderate climb we decided to walk back on the road. You could have a really good challenge and climb a mountain, (large hill) this would be quite enjoyable. However, we were very glad that we retreated due to the nature of the hot weather it was not the right conditions for hard and tiresome climbs.
Ingleton Waterfalls Trail is located on the edge of the village of Ingleton and is well sign-posted from the main A65 Skipton to Kendal road. It is 25 miles from both towns.
By Bus: Buses run from Lancaster and Skipton calling at Settle and Bentham.
By Train: The Leeds to Morecambe line is 5 miles away at Bentham, taxis and buses can be used for this part of the route. The famous Settle to Carlisle railway is nearby. If you stay in Ingleton your accommodation provider will meet you at Ribblehead by arrangement.
