"A theme park that puts other theme parks to shame has to be a family theme park. This theme park is a worthwhile visit and mention as it not only provides thrills and entertainment but also an interactive zoo that takes your breath away by the roaring of the lions and tigers.
Chessington World of Adventures is guaranteed to deliver an experience that the whole family will never forget.
Entering the theme park you will be shocked to see two entrances as there are two car parks. The car park in the North is the main one while the one in the South is a secondary one and covered with grass. If you take the North entrance as this is the main entrance you will be welcomed by the chessington zoo. When my family went through this route we walked past the zoo as we thought rides were more important but I can guarantee that the zoo is worthwhile of your time and trust me the older or senior members will have a great time. On the other hand I would complete the rides first as you can relax afterwards with the zoo whereas if you adventured the zoo first then you would be on your toes and have aching feet at the end of the day without a rest. Bottom line is that the zoo is more realistic than any other I have seen as the animals actually seem alive compared to zoo such as Drayton Manor Park.
Moving further you feel like pirates searching for hidden treasure as there are a number of different rides and places.
In the North east of the park rides such as runaway train, rameses revenge and there is also the creature features that is in the chessington zoo. Travelling to the North you will find rides such as Tomb blaster, dragon falls, peeking heights and also Beano land which stores rides associated with Beano. In the south west there are the more challenging rides such as vampire, black buccaneer and even the bubble works factory which isn't a rollercoaster but one of those rides that you want to see the scenery. If that does not satisfy you then why not travel to the centre of the park where you can find rides such as the crazy cars, rattlesnake and flying jumbos. There is even a theatre there too.
For those toddlers and little kids the zoo would be an amazing treat especially to those who want to experience wildlife. I would also recommend Beano land to them as that place keeps the rides that many children love to go on including a madhouse for those who want fun travelling past games, enjoying every moment, to get their way out of the place. There are even other rides for little kids at the centre of the park where tiny truckers, flying jumbos which are what the name suggests and another playhouse but this time called the dragon's playhouse.
For teenagers and thrill seekers there are a number of rides including dragon's fury which will spin you round and round to make you dizzy, rattlesnake, black buccaneer (a pirate ship) and vampire. Once you have enjoyed the thrills and experiences on those, travel to the North to find yourself some more rides that make your spines shiver. These rides are peeking heights and rameses revenge.
For those of you wanting to get wet then this park will do that for just the entrance fee as well because it contains dragon falls which is a water ride with a few drops that will get you soaked.
For seniors there is a theatre that entertains you and also the zoo which will get you relaxed and give you memories to treasure later in life.
The disadvantages to the park have to be the layout as they seem to have a mixture of rides in each zone when I prefer a zone for kids and a zone for adults or something similar. On the other hand at least everyone can say that I enjoyed that zone when they come out of it or the zone attracts all members to it. The prices were also quite high if you pay on the day at gate price however this can be resolved by paying the online price by booking the tickets in advance.
Personally, I would recommend this park to everyone as it really is a family theme park and the zoo itself is amazing plus the fact that if you book the tickets online you will save a lot of money making this theme park for budget people as well.
The ticket prices on the day are £30 for an adult aged 12 years or older and £20 for a child. There are family deals as well to save you money but for those budget minded people booking online is the best option as the prices reduce to £23 for an adult and £16 for a child!
The opening times for the theme park are absolutely amazing as normally a theme park would open in March and end in November but this theme park opens in February and ends in January of the next year. The times range between 10:00am to 18:00pm which makes the opening times like Drayton Manor Park but the annual passes are more usable at Chessington with it opened for nearly the whole year.
The tickets are high priced on the day but online they make a person with a budget looking to treat a family delighted.
Overall my family thoroughly enjoyed the day out to Chessington World of Adventures and I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a good day out. It is not the most thrilling but certainly entertaining."
