"This has to be one of the most thrilling theme parks in the UK. It has the ability to scare everyone who enters the park and make them reconsider.
The views of the rides are spectacular even from a distance and the whole park has covered a lot of land with the features it stores.
Thorpe Park welcomes you with the tickets office where you purchase the amount of tickets required as you do with any other theme park. The tickets generally are £32 for adults or what they call thrill seekers and £20 for children or young thrill seekers. Booking the tickets online is something you may want to consider as it saves money on these high priced tickets.
Entering the actual park you will go over a bridge into a dome shaped place where there are toilets, a few games, stores to purchase souvenirs and an information desk with people selling annual passes to the park. This place is also where you will go to exit the park.
Leaving the dome to enter the location of rides and amusements you will be shocked to see the height of the rides as they are enormous. In my opinion the rides situated in Thorpe Park are the biggest and most thrilling in the UK. This opinion has also been backed up by many other people including newspapers. This park contains rides such as colossus which is the only 10 loop roller coaster, stealth which contains the highest drop on a roller coaster, slammer which is a 360 degree turner plus many more. For adults this park contains a lot of thrills as you can see.
For children the park does have its features as well, thanks to the flying fish which is a roller coaster dedicated to those who want to sit on rides such as colossus but cannot get past the height limit or are too afraid. There is even the rocky express, carousel and Mr Monkey's banana ride which is like a pirate ship for young children.
For seniors there are shows on acrobats and pirates. There is even the Rumba Rapids which is pretty much the same as the splash canyon in Drayton Manor theme park. Rumba Rapids travels by the waves of the water and is a relaxing ride where fun takes control. Seniors may also sit on the carousel or storm in a teacup. For toddlers there is an octopus garden which consists of rides such as slippery serpent, happy halibuts and galleon race.
For water rides there is the Tidal wave which contains only one drop but does what the name suggests, depth charge for young children, wet wet wet which is also for young children, rumba rapids which goes by the flow of the waves of the water and loggers leap which is like the classic log fume.
There is even a backward roller coaster in the dark called x:/ no way out which is meant for adults and it does contain its thrills as you do not know where you are going!
There are many food places where you can go including pizza hut who do an all day buffet with pricing ranging from £3.99 to £7.99 depending on whether you're an adult or child. There is even burger king where you can have chips, burgers, hot and cold drinks and more. KFC is also located in the park for those who want to eat from them.
When you think you have seen everything you really haven't because there is a really nice beach meant for the whole family and a lake view venue plus a Thorpe Belle education centre.
With rides like Nemesis Inferno, Rush and Vortex this theme park will surely be a thrill to the whole family.
Overall, this is a complete theme park for the whole family but generally meant for the thrill seekers who are adults. Problems with the theme park which nearly all theme parks would suffer from are queues. When entering the park I would recommend paying an extra £9 to get fast track which will enable you to jump the queues and get on your rides quicker because you will be waiting around 45 minutes per ride for queues and the rides will generally only last a minute or two.
The park opens between 17th of March to the 4th November and opening times are between 9:30 and 20:00 depending on the day and season you go.
I would rate this theme park 7/10 because it stores fabulous rides but the queues are very long (longer than other theme parks) and the prices are very expensive.
A major theme park that must be visited at least once especially for those of you who want to fast and scary rides."
