"Now this has to be one of my favourite places to visit, it is open daily from 10am till 4pm in November and December, 10am – 5pm in March and October and from 10am – 6pm April to September, they have free car parking, disabled toilets, and a lovely café where you can get some food and drinks then either sit in the conservatory or take your food out to the picnic area. Dawyck botanic gardens can be found in Stobo Peeblesshire.
The garden is designed so that it looks different each season so you will always see something different when you visit, they have gorgeous water falls with lots of lovely plants surrounding them, if you wish you can pack a picnic and sit beside any of the water falls, and have a nice lunch, you can spend hours upon hours just looking at all the lovely flowers and tree's, you can climb up hill, go over bridges under tree arches, when you arrive you will be given a leaflet which has a variety of recommended trails marked out for you so that you can get the full benefit of the gardens and not miss out on anything. We have taken our two children here a couple of times since moving to the are just over 3 years ago and they love it my five year old son is always asking to go back, it truly is a family place, as when parents are enjoying the flowers and lovely surroundings the children are enjoying the open space and fresh air. There is a small entry free of £3.50 per adult and £1 per child but it is worth every penny and more, they also have a lovely little shop where you can buy plants and books."
