"What a great way to spend a rainy day!
For most people the centre of Bimingham is all about shopping. But not my kids. We had 5 children aged 5 to 13 and spent all day (on a VERY wet Bank Holiday) totally engrossed in the various activities, displays, interaction and learning in Think Tank. Good cloakroom for wet coats and prams/rucksacs. Can go and come back same day. It never got too crowded, but due to the layout its easy to loose little ones. Some sign boards are difficult for little one's to reach and read, but clever video/audio setups enable most people to see and hear what's going on, be that soundtracks from the 60's, or digging up the street to fix a pipe. Star of the show for me was the Spitfire, kids liked the penny farthing (do you know why its called that?), stamping their "passports", mini robot doctors and the huge water trough. Looks expensive on entry - but for an attraction that keeps you entertained all day - full recommendation. Although some stuff for under 5's wouldn't recommend it for them."
