"Take Junction 45 off the M4 heading for Swansea via the A4067. When you come to the second major junction come off left for Llansamlet. Follow the road down to the next roundabout and go off right. You should have PC World on your right. At the next roundabout go straight across. Take it steady after 200 metres and you should see trees on the left. Slow down now, because almost as soon as the trees stop there is a turning left into the lake car-park. Not suitable for campers or high vehicles as there is a barrier. But you can usually find parking on the enterprise zone to the right. If you over-shoot there is a roundabout within 200 metres. Perfect for a twirl!
There is a circular walk of about one mile around the lake. It is not all tarmaced though and gets close to the road at the end of the lake.
When you can see a bridge on the left, go over it if you want to go back to the car. Otherwise keep to the right and take a short walk down the side of the river for about half a mile. Its amazing how quiet it is, considering it's in the middle of an enterprise zone.
Retrace your steps to the bridge and follow the path back around to the car-park.
This is a little oasis in the middle of the enterprise zone. Its ideal spot for taking a break when you are out shopping. We have had lots of lovely walks there and you could even have a picnic. There are a few benches to sit on here and there.
Just remember to pack some stale bread, cakes or bird seed and you'll have a lovely time. There are lots of ducks, swans and geese to feed.
It sometimes gets very crowded between 12 and 2pm as a lot of the office workers take their lunch out there."
